Odoo ERP implementation
We implement Odoo module by module, in the order that pays you back — not the whole system at once in a one-year project.
What it actually is
Odoo is a modular ERP: you can start with sales, stock and accounting and add manufacturing or HR six months later without changing system. That is also how we work.
It is the right platform for most small and mid-sized Romanian companies: it covers the whole quote-to-cash flow, has real Romanian localisation, and licence cost stays predictable as you grow.
We work on Odoo Online as well as on self-hosted or MATTEALE-hosted installations. The choice depends on the customisation you need and on your data access requirements, and we discuss it before rather than after.
Who it is for
- Companies of 5–250 users that want one system instead of three programs and the spreadsheets between them.
- Distributors and retailers with a warehouse, barcodes and an online shop.
- Small and mid-sized manufacturers who need bills of materials, work orders and true product cost.
- Service businesses billing by project or by hour that want profitability visible per project.
- Companies moving off SAP Business One, Charisma, WinMentor or an outdated stock package.
Who it is not for
- Very strictly regulated traceability — pharmaceutical, aerospace — where specialised platforms remain the correct choice.
- Companies determined to keep their current processes exactly, however unusual. Odoo customises, but excessive customisation cancels the platform's cost advantage.
- Projects with no budget for data migration. Old data does not move itself and is rarely clean.
What we actually do
Module analysis and implementation order
We decide which modules go in the first wave and what waits. The order is set by where time or money leaks today, not by the org chart.
Configuration to the agreed process
Approval flows, document templates, role permissions, reports. Most of a good Odoo implementation is configuration, not code.
Romanian localisation and ANAF
Romanian chart of accounts, journals, VAT on collection where applicable, e-Factura submitted automatically to SPV, e-Transport at dispatch, structure prepared for SAF-T.
Custom modules where they are needed
Where configuration cannot reach, we write our own Odoo modules following the platform's conventions so they do not block your version upgrades. The code is yours.
Migration from the old system
Master data, partners, balances, stock, history. We run repeated rehearsal migrations and reconcile balances before go-live.
Training in Romanian, on each person's role
Short sessions on each role's real process, with Romanian documentation and screenshots from your own system rather than from the vendor demo.
Version upgrades
Odoo ships one major version a year. We plan the upgrade, test the customisations first, and run it in an agreed window.
How long it takes

What you supply
- An internal project owner with authority to decide.

- Your pricing, discount and approval policy, written or explained.
- The decision on Odoo licences, which you contract directly with the vendor.

Frequently asked questions
What does an Odoo implementation cost in Romania?+
From €12,000 for 5–15 users on standard modules and from €32,000 for 15–50 users with manufacturing or customisation. Those are our service costs; Odoo licences are paid separately, direct to the vendor, charged per user and per application.
How long does an Odoo implementation take?+
Eight to twelve weeks for the first wave — sales, purchasing, stock, accounting — at a company of up to 15 users. With manufacturing or significant customisation, four to seven months. We implement in waves precisely so that you use the first module before the last one is finished.
Does Odoo cover Romanian accounting requirements?+
Yes. Romanian chart of accounts, VAT journals, VAT on collection, e-Factura submitted automatically to SPV with the responses recorded, e-Transport at dispatch, and a data structure prepared for SAF-T (D406). We configure and test those flows as part of the implementation, not as an extra.
What happens at version upgrade time?+
Odoo releases one major version a year. The custom modules we write follow the platform's conventions precisely so upgrades stay possible. We plan the upgrade, test on a copy first, then run it in an agreed window. On support contracts the upgrade is included.
Can we migrate from SAP Business One, Charisma or WinMentor?+
Yes, those are the migrations we see most. We extract master data, partners, balances and stock, clean them and load them into Odoo, with at least two rehearsal migrations before the real one. History is migrated according to how useful it is to you.
Do we own the custom module code?+
Yes. Modules written for you belong to you, are handed over in your own code repository, and can be maintained by any Odoo partner. We do not use licensing that ties you to us.
