Can we see true cost per finished product?+
Yes, it is one of the main outcomes. Cost is built from actually reported consumption, work-centre times and allocated overhead, and is compared automatically against the bill of materials so variances are visible on the order rather than at month end.
Do shop-floor operators have to work on a computer?+
They work on a simplified touchscreen terminal showing only the current order, start/pause/finish buttons and consumption reporting. Training takes under an hour and is part of the scope.
