Specific to the Romanian market
In Romania the fiscal receipt is issued by certified electronic-journal cash registers connected to ANAF. Odoo POS works alongside them: it handles the sale, the stock and the reporting, while fiscal receipt issuance stays with the certified device. We configure the interface between them and check that shift reports reconcile with the Z report.
Frequently asked questions
Does Odoo POS replace the fiscal cash register?+
No. The fiscal receipt is still issued by the certified device connected to ANAF; Odoo POS handles the sale, stock, promotions and reporting and interfaces with the device. At implementation we verify that the Odoo shift report reconciles with the Z report.
Does it work if the internet drops?+
Yes, the till interface works offline and syncs sales automatically when the connection returns. It is one of the things we test explicitly before go-live.
