The situation

A technology company needed capacity it could rely on month after month, not a supplier it had to re-brief each time. The volume is not constant โ€” some months need half again as much as others โ€” so the arrangement had to absorb peaks without renegotiation.

What we did

A monthly services contract with a baseline volume and agreed overtime rates for the months that exceed it, so a busy month is a line on the invoice rather than a conversation. A second contract covers sourcing specialist subcontractors when a skill is needed that neither side has on staff.

What came of it

4,461 hours of monthly IT services invoiced to date, across 12 named months of the contract year, with peaks absorbed at agreed overtime rates rather than renegotiated. The contract has been running for over three years.
